Santa Marta, Columbia

Santa Marta was our first Columbia town we visited. It’s always exciting arriving to civilization after being in remote areas. We decided to spend a week in the marina to officially check into the country and kick back and utilize the marina facilities.

We met back up with our friends Fizzy and Jack and headed for a night on the town. We found excellent eco burgers and cold columbian beer to enjoy overlooking the ocean. While at the marina, we met some locals who asked if we wanted to go out to dance the night away Colombian style! The place they took us to was a rooftop patio where at 11pm, the place was packed. All of us danced until the wee hours of the morning under the stars. It was so much fun!

We then headed to the mountains for a few days to Minca which we talked about in a separate post.

We sadly said goodbye to all our friends and headed to Pureto Vallero where we would spend a few days before heading to the Big city of Cartagena!
