Little Farmers Cay

This quaint little Bahamian village has a population of about 55 people! While visiting, it was easy to interact with the locals in order to integrate ourselves into the culture. We visited a 70year old man named JR at his home who made homemade wood carvings of various animals and had a home farm where he grew everything from pomegranates, citrus and homeopathic medicines. In return for his kindness of showing us around, we baked him some homemade chocolate chips cookies on the boat!

We also visited Dino and his family on the dock in the little town harbour who sold fresh conch salad. They asked us if we wanted to feed the sea turtles by hand! Steve went in and we ended up getting some excellent footage of the turtles up close! The kids loved playing fetch with Bella while she jumped in the water after her toy! We later headed out to a well known restaurant on the Oceanside called TJ’s to celebrate Steve’s minting of his Canadian Coin design. We watched the sun set there before going back to the boat! Little farmers Cay will always be a memorable place for us in the Bahamas!
