Fresh Fish on a Deserted Island

We got a big one! While underway we often troll a fishingline behind the boat. Sailing at 4-6 knots provides the perfect trolling speed in deep waters over reefs and some big fish.
We've tried a few different setups but unfortunately been more successful catching logs and wrapping the fishing line around our wind generator than catching actual fish. We have caught a few, but not in a few months.
Fortunetly, we've been traveling with some better fisherman that have been happy to share thier catches. Ryan from SeasLife caught this 10 pounder in San Blas! As the four of us were coming into our next anchorage we sailed passed a beautiful desert island and thought it would be cool to have a beach BBQ there. We each prepared a sidedish, deserts and some drinks and hauled it out to the island. Niles and Annalise from Walkabout brought thier BBQ to fry up the fish.

We had an amazing meal and watched one of the prettiest sunsets we've seen in a while
sitting around the beach campfire.
You'll notice in the photos there's lots of garbage on the island. The sad reality is that a deserted island in modern times is completely littered with plastic. If an islands isn't being cleaned routinely this becomes its new natural state.
