Day at The Beach

My parents did that thing yesterday where the boat moves to a new place and there are lots of commotion and noises! But today they are packing my water and favorite toy in a bag so I know we are going somewhere special! I can hardly contain my excitement BUT first I will take a nap! Zzz.....

Once they got out the leash, I knew it was game time! I happily trotted past a place where the air filled with scents of the human food that they make on the hot black box at home! Hamburgers! Wow and they are stopping, I wonder if any will drop for me on the floor to taste? Until that time I’m going to pretend like I don’t want it bad and maybe the will then give me some! No such luck but we kept on walking!

We came up to a place where I could see water under us but it looked like we needed to cross in order to get to the other side. There we these weird see though grates that spread my feet apart when I walked on them!  We got to the other side and I started to wondered when I would ever eat again?

We walked over a hill to an open area that I’ve been to before!! The beach! They let me free of the leach and I quickly ran in though sand to explore. I was thirsty from the walk to ran to the water to take a refreshing  drink! Salty water filled my mouth and I remembered my parents scolded me last time for drinking the water from the lake on this trip!

The humans setup for a nap in the sand while I found a shady spot to rest! When I wasn’t tired anymore I sniffed in the bag for my favourite red top toy that my grandparents got me! Snifffffffffff. Dad awoke and saw me taking it out! I was glad we got up and played with me! He threw it in the water while I ran through the waves to get it and bring it back! I was having a great time with my best friend!! Once Dad was tired I shook all the water off and rolled in the sand to dry! The sand was warm and felt like a blanket. After I was done, it hurt my eyes to blink and I’m not sure why but Mom kept picking in them to clean them out!

The humans then played the game where they hit the yellow ball into the net. Ohhh how I wanted to the ball so bad but I knew I wasn’t allowed this ball.

After a few more swims we packed up and headed back! The beach was the best day of my life.. hopefully when we get back I will get my dinner.. in the meantime I’m going to take a short nap...zzzzz
